Hello, my name is Jose!

I am a graduating senior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Astronomy and acquiring a Composite Science Education certificate with a concentration in Physics. I am deeply invested in integrating and diversifying astrophysics by creating educational lessons on cosmological topics, where I leverage pedagogical tools to create more access to individuals.

I recently completed the graduate school application process, as I am strongly interested in S.T.E.A.M communications and Galaxy research as career pathways. However, I did not gain entry. I am deeply motivated to continue doing astronomy outreach as a scientist and Education Public Outreach (EPO) team member for Dark Energy Explorers, a global citizen science project. Therefore, before going through any alternate career choice, I will expand my teaching knowledge and expertise in the working sector as a high school educator.
